How we work

Three parts. One standard.

Align, Connect, and Guide are the three parts of how we work with owner-led contractors. The same standard governs all three. We start where the gap costs you the most, then hold that standard until the result is real.

The standard behind all three

One standard governs Align, Connect, and Guide.

The Plumb Bob Standard sets what good looks like before any work starts. It applies most to paid Align engagements: the scope gets written down, every decision gets an owner, and results get measured against a bar we agreed on before the work began.

Why the standard exists

What we believe shapes how we work.

Values describe the company you hope to be. Beliefs decide the company you actually become, because they shape what people do when nobody is watching. A standard is what makes a belief measurable.

Three tiers. One, Beliefs: what we hold to be true, setting the direction. The why. Two, Principles: how beliefs guide our choices and keep the work aligned. The how. Three, Standards: the measurable line we hold, turning intent into consistent action. What good looks like. One idea made concrete: people deserve respect, becomes listen before judging, becomes no interruptions and respond constructively.
Beliefs set the direction. Principles guide the choice. Standards are the measurable line. Tap to read it full size.
