Connect / Builder's Tables begin January 2027

Build trusted relationships with people worth referring.

Connect will include builders, Trade Partners, industry pros, and a small number of trusted advisors. Join the interest list to begin. You don't have to use Align or be a Lighthouse Contractor.

The future room

Join a referral network, not another business coaching group.

Connect brings the same people together often enough to build real trust. Members meet in local groups, small meetings, and shared-interest groups. Connect doesn't sell seats, set referral quotas, or promise leads. Align Forum is for business advice. Connect is for trusted introductions.

  • 01
Local enough to matterThe contractors, Trade Partners, clients, risks, and opportunities are rooted in the same market. The relationships can continue after the meeting ends.
  • 02
Trust before referralsMembers don't owe referrals. Introductions come after people have seen each other's judgment, character, work, and follow-through.
  • 03
Experience without a sales angleA group may include a contractor who built and sold a strong company, and selected advisors who know construction and respect the builders in the room.
"The owner still makes the call. The right group brings better judgment, useful experience, and people the owner can trust."
Who will be in the first group

Join a contractor-led group strengthened by the right mix.

Contractors will be the largest group and will set the culture. Selected Trade Partners and advisors will add useful relationships without turning Connect into a sales room.

Founding group 01

Operators

Owner-led general contractors at the center of the network. We review quality, character, stability, fit, references, capacity, and direct competition.

Founding group 02

Trade Partners

Selected specialty contractors and construction partners whose skills fit the group. They must have solid proof and be able to give as well as receive good introductions.

Founding group 03

Advisors

Selected CPAs, attorneys, lenders, insurance pros, HR pros, and other advisors. They must know construction, help first, and follow a strict no-selling rule.

Contractors will remain the largest part of the group. Trade Partners and a limited number of advisors will strengthen the room without changing its contractor-led culture.

The referral confidence ladder

Your membership gives you access. It never buys a referral.

Trust is earned over time. Membership doesn't give anyone a claim on another person's name or reputation.

  • 01
    KnownI know who you are.
  • 02
ProvenI've seen credible evidence the work holds up.
  • 03
TrustedI trust your word and follow-through.
  • 04
    IntroducedI'll make the first connection.
  • 05
Full ConfidenceI can put my name behind you.
How it works

Three stages, in order.

Nobody makes a referral in the first month. Trust gets built first, on purpose, and the room is organized around that.

  • 01
Meet the groupYou come to an invite-only dinner, see how the room works, and show what you could do for the people in it. Both sides decide whether it fits.
  • 02
Build trustThe group meets monthly. Between those, small three-person sessions get into each other's work, clients, proof, and limits. This is where you learn whether somebody is worth putting your name behind.
  • 03
Make responsible introductionsOnly once you know enough to be right about it. Members can also form smaller groups around a market, trade, or client type when that makes introductions better.

Builder's Table. The invite-only meeting where qualified prospects learn how Connect works.

Circuit. The main local group. Members share needs and opportunities and build trust over time.

3-Deep. A three-person meeting to learn about each member's work, clients, proof, and limits.

Advisor Session. Trusted advisors teach and help without giving a sales pitch. Any paid work happens later and by choice.

Special Interest Group. A group built around a market, trade, client type, or opportunity.

Why it compounds

Every trusted member widens the room in two directions.

More people to know, and more useful ways to group up around a shared problem.

The Network Compounds in Two Directions Two panels. On the left, Metcalfe’s Law, relationship capacity: thirty trusted members produce four hundred thirty-five possible unique relationships, calculated as n times n minus one, divided by two. On the right, Reed’s Law, group-forming potential, shown as special interest groups for cash flow, estimating, hiring, technology, and succession. More trusted relationships, more focused ways to work together. These laws describe potential, not guaranteed value. Trust and participation determine what becomes real. BuildLogIQ Built on trust. Builder's Tables begin January 2027.

Builder's Tables are the invite-only dinners where the room gets built. The first Circuit forms once a room is full, not on a fixed date. You can join the interest list without using Align or being a Lighthouse Contractor.

Membership will begin only after an experienced founding group has tried the format, accepted the terms, and decided it is worth continuing. Joining the list doesn't promise an application, invitation, or seat.
