It is about everything that has to hold together for something to be built well.
The people.
The promises.
The follow-through.
The documentation.
The trust.
Over time, and especially through the conversations Ryan and I kept having, I started to see how often good work gets undermined by weak standards in the invisible parts of the process.
A scope change gets discussed but never written down.
A payment slips because no one closed the loop.
A relationship feels strong until pressure reveals it was never that solid.
A good operator ends up carrying too much because the room around them is not strong enough.
That has stayed with me.
It is one of the reasons I think so much about the plumb bob.
A plumb bob is simple. It tells the truth.
Either something is aligned or it is not.
I think the built world needs more of that kind of honesty.
A better standard.
Better rooms.
Better relationships.
Better follow-through.
That is a big part of what we are trying to build with BuildLogIQ.
Not bigger for the sake of bigger.
